Schreiber (sbs) This Compact Cassette album with songs mostly written by Aigars Červinskis was the first creative work released by "Holy Lamb", and it shows a band in the wake of the decision whether they want to sound hard and heavy, as "Weakness Of Your Mind", "My Favourite Way", and the "Black Sabbath" cover "Looking For Today" demonstrate, or complex and demanding like one of the contemporary neo-prog band of the 90's. We know the outcome by now - they chose the latter, fortunately, and refined their writing style and sound considerably. Favorite track: The Vision at Night.

'Bite in the Dust' is the debut album by Holy Lamb. It features cover artwork by Akseli Gallen-Kallela, a notable Finnish painter. When we first chose the painting for the album cover, we were too young and inexperienced to sort out the copyright thing, so if the issue arises now, we will come up with a different cover picture. However the problem may evolve in the days to come, it has to be said that the original painting fits the musical content of the album very well. As one Latvian reviewer wrote when the original cassette-only album came out, 'it leaves me just as baffled as the boy right there staring at the crow'. :)
